Who we are

The Crue Canine Behavior Consulting is an LLC operating within Central Texas with a core mission to provide high quality pet care to dogs who are deemed behaviorally complex or medically vulnerable, and may otherwise not be accepted into typical pet care avenues.

At The Crue, we acknowledge each dog as the individuals they are, prioritizing what each dog finds reinforcing, and taking the time to create a safe and supportive relationship so we can better cater to their needs.

Our small, but skilled team focuses on Least Intrusive Minimally Aversive (LIMA) methods, predominately Differential Reinforcement of Alternative Behaviors (DRA), and pride ourselves on being knowledgeable of all aspects of the Humane Hierarchy to ensure we have multiple avenues for providing care and objective evaluations, and implementing management.

Our Team

Kaitlan Warmbrod

Kaitlan has spent the last 10 years studying animal behavior, holding a M.S.P. in Animal Behavior and Science from Unity Environmental University as well as her Fear Free and CPDT-KA certifications.

While gaining this knowledge, she also gained hands on experience in the private training and shelter industries, working her way up from a starting staff member to leading member of her team in both industries.

Owner/Head Behavior Specialist

Speedy

Social Dog

Speedy is a behavioral sanctuary placement The Crue took in mid-2025. While he has displayed behaviors towards people that are characterized as unpredictable, he has shown to be the perfect social play mate for our canine guests, helping many of them to come out of their shells and learn proper social play.

Raven Bonnet

Care Specialist II

Raven has worked with animals on and off over the last 5 years in different capacities, from training dogs to veterinary medicine. Her love for animals can be traced back to childhood when her mother joined the animal welfare industry and encouraged a love for helping animals.

Motley

Decoy Dog

After working through reactivity behaviors of her own, Motley has become the perfect decoy dog for any client needing a controlled setting for their training exercises.

Leanna Shaw

Behavior Specialist

Leanna started her career in animal welfare 4 years ago in the RGV before coming to Central Texas. She is Fear Free certified with Mentorships 1 & 2 from DPFL.

Care Specialist I

Layton Burge

Clyde

Cat Tester

Clyde is a previous farm cat who’s decided he prefers the spoiled life of an indoor cat. His sociability paired with his savviness with dog body language makes him the perfect addition to our team.
